Next stop: Coty

At first I didn’t want to go.
When I arrived in Arles in the summer I lost my computer’s charger and had to find a place to replace it: the only electronic store I found was outside the historic center. I had to take the bus n°2 and passed by the “Coty” stop. There was something about this neighbourhood that interested me. Is it that what is called “la banlieue”? Maybe yes. Maybe no. I made “Coty” the focus of this photographic project. Almost all photos were taken within a few meters of this bus stop. I was approached by an elderly gentleman: it would be better if I watched out for the young men further down the road and drove back to the center. Nevertheless, I returned. I also took a few pictures at the starting point of the bus ride. They form the beginning of the series. After all, a lot of things stay hidden.
